On a Lighter note ......

We went shopping on Saturday to replace all the food i threw out due to no power in my fridge and freezer form sunday night to Wednesday morning :P What better place to restock than BJ's? ahh yes, the home of 5 gallon pails of Mustard ... vats of salad dressing ...and of course BIG GiANT bags of frozen Honey BBQ wings for dinner :) Also, with this new found FED-ness, Warm air was brought into Vermont. WARM AIR!! And SUNSHINE. Yup, 70 degrees and better for 3 days so far, glorious weather ..... awww .... aren't the offspring so cute? :)

Paradigm Shift

The term "paradigm shift" has found uses in other contexts, representing the notion of a major change in a certain thought-pattern — a radical change in personal beliefs, complex systems or organizations, replacing the former way of thinking or organizing with a radically different way of thinking or organizing: Pre-Columbine ... School violence was a couple of punches thrown in the h allways over a girl or a game. Pre-911...... Airplanes in the sky were white noise Pre-Parenthood ..... Multi-tasking was a fun trick Pre-April 16th 2007..... Wind was neat, and wind was white noise, and wind meant the storm was near over ...... Around 730am in the morning my best friend called me in a panic, asking if we were ok , if we had seen any funnel clouds. Funnel Clouds?!?! Let me set this up for you. Sunday night the forecast was calling for 20" of w et heavy snow, and most likely widespread power outages. So i filled up pots of water, dug out the candles and flashlights, made su

Everybody needs the same Jesus

Yes this weekend was a whirlwind, with Easter, being such a huge holiday for me ... and the fact that sunday was full of food and family all congregating on my house all day long. :) But it was more than that .... this weekend has sent me into this train of thought that is most cool, so i hope i can share it without muddling it all up. This time of year my mind tends to drift back several years to a spring i dont much talk about or address. Not that i have it crammed down inside of me and it hasn't been dealt with, i just don't like to "play that card" unless it's really necessary. I am pretty sure that whole thing is in the 2nd or 3rd post of my blog. This weekend, i have dealt with the death of a friend i met online, a saint in every aspect really. An innocent child, who loved her Jesus so intently she knew her angels name, and would tell us about it, and about how excited she was to go meet her Saviour, and how she hoped we wouldn't cry too long, but know

Thank God it's Friday!

no really! If Not for this particular Friday, we'd all be doomed! All minor calendar details and such aside, Christians of our century as a whole agree that today is Good Friday, the day we celebrate Death. I'm making Easter bread today, as is tradition in the Doenges Family, and as Mom D. pointed out, she always makes it on Good Friday, as a reminder of the day, since the bread must rise once, get beaten down, then RISE AGAIN. =D cool huh? Thank God for this day! Happy Easter to you all!

"Doo doo dooo Lookin' out my front door"

Welcome to Vermont .... as soon as you think it's safe to put up the cute spring sign ....... you wake up to THIS kind of madness. It all comes with the terrain .... some of you may be shocked, but me ... im just laughing ... Thank goodness i made sure to buy WARM spring outfits for Easter ... o.- i know how spring works up here! LOL
